These are some notes I made concerning the Ontogenesis Network proposed activities, which I'm capturing here before they get lost. They significantly overlap Davids proposal draft that has been circulated.
1. Ontogenesis Network
Seek funding via EPSRC Natural Sciences Interface (?) for:
Tutorials (travel and venue costs)
Travel to other meetings
Requirements analysis and preparation
10% (or was that 20%?) person for network management/administration
2. Ontolife Project
Goal to develop methodologies, tools, interfaces for collaboirative development of real biological ontologoes.
Freshwater life would be principle applicant, with immediate requirement to capture domain knowledge relating to freshwater biology, with Oxford and Manchester in technical supporting roles.
3. KnowledgeWeb Involvement
Possibility for participation salary to Manchester?
4. Usability
Response to call for projects relating to usability ... ontologies for e-science ... (my notes here rather vague)
Possible 2-year project for development of animal behaviour ontology?
(Would probably be helpful if we find partner who needs something like this to support their primary research)
