Network Meeting 1: Informal meets Formal Ontology Building
The first network meeting, hosted by the University of Manchester, will cover issues in informal and formal ontology building. Areas to be covered include:
Use of concept maps in knowledge elicitation
Observations on a community wide ontology building process
Experiences on building ontology with biologists
The sociology of work
Building ontology from text

1.3. Accommodation
Accommodation is at the Chancellor's Hotel and Conference Centre (details above). For those people arriving on Sunday evening, dinner and bar snacks are available.
1.4. Costs
The Ontogenesis Network will cover the costs of both workshop days, one nights accommodation and reasonable travel for Ontogenesis Network Members and speakers.
In line with previous practice we ask that non-members make a contribution of £39 per day includes coffees/teas/lunches and room hire per day and for those staying for dinner £20.00. For those requiring accommodation the cost is Sunday evening £42.55 + VAT, Monday- Friday £55.30 + VAT.
All costs not covered by the network should be covered with a cheque made payable to Chancellor's Hotel and Conference Centre .
